Written by Charles Masters, 1995, ISBN 0-8093-2007-X. This book is an excellent account of the 325th's role in
the Normandy Invasion in June of 1944. In addition to the preparation for the Invasion, the book also covers the different
glider missions that were scheduled for the Invasion: Chicago, Detroit, Keokuk, Elmira, Galveston, and Hackensack. The
author specifically focuses on the 325th and it's participation in Galveston and Hackensack. This was the first book I
owned on the 325th, and what got me involved with the group. It's a must for anyone interested in the 325th GIR's participation
in the war. I'm not certain if it's still in print, but it's worth looking for.

Written by James Gavin, 1978, ISBN 0-670-52517-0. This book was written by the commanding officer of the 82nd Airborne
Division himself. It covers the 82nd's participation in the entire war, which of course includes the 325th's actions
in North Africa, Sicily, Italy, Normandy, and Holland. It's a great overall account of the war and the 82nd Airborne.
Unfortunately, Gen. Gavin was a paratrooper first and foremost, and his bias towards the paratroops is evident in this book.
I was personally disappointed in his coverage of the 325th, but still think the book is worth reading. Out of print,
you'll have to look for it, but it shouldn't be too hard to find.

Written by Gerard Devlin, 1985, No ISBN # that I found. This book is described as "the saga of the ... combat glider
pilots during World War II." Although the author does indeed focus on the glider pilots contributions to the war, the
book still is a very good overall account of glider operations through-out all of WW2 - in both the European and Pacific theaters.
As such, it gives a lot of great information on the glider troops and operations, not just on the glider pilots. Since
both the glider troops and the pilots who flew them are so closely tied together, I included this book. Out of print,
you'll have to look for it.
